Requirements

YOUR PROFILE

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, business or related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years's industry experience in the automation industry.
  • Industry expertise in technology and sales channels
  • Strtegic thinker and project execution.
  • Willingness/ability to travel with daily notice. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Preferred experience working with both an ERP and CRM system.
  • Preferred familiarity with material handling or the industries we serve.
Qualifications

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing a balanced development plan to grow regional slaes at the annual target growth rate, communicate and coordinate with all levels of sales channels, customer and sales management. This RSM is also responsible for visiting regularly with target accounts, sales channel partners and attending industry events/trade shows. This position will cover the following territories: New York to Maine, and may include parts of other surrounding states.

YOUR TASKS

  • Develop and execute daily on a regional develpment plan which balances sales across all products and sales channels, and increases mindshare and awareness within the region towards the Schmalz brand for material handling applications.
  • Provide distributor partners and direct target accounts with insight on latest Schmalz products and technologies. Position Schmalz brand as the gobal leader in Material handling technology.
  • Gain critical insight into accounts current and future product needs as they relate to vacuum and communicate those clearly to US Product Management for product development pipline.
  • Communicate frquently with all levels at distributor partners, inside sales support in Raleigh, product management, and sales management.
  • Visit with customers 4 days a week on average, and complete month-end administrative tasks on time.
  • Attend industry trade shows and customer open houses as needed.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
