Electro - Optical Test Architect (m/f/d)
Immediately and fulltime
Your responsibilities
- Pulse Pattern Generators - operate instrumentation, source desired data rates and patterns common in the datacom/telecom industry
- Jitter - Processing and handling of jitter stimuli when components are stressed
- BERT: Bit Error Rate Detectors - telecom/datacom transmission error measurement, bathtub curves
- FEC: Application, test, and understanding of forward error correction
- S-Parameter multi-port measurements as it applies to packaged devices, chips and wafer level test
- Calibrate a VNA with through, load, open and shorts to de-embed transmission lines and/or probes
- Optical and RF Spectrum Analyzers
- Oscilloscopes - operate and guide programmers on how to perform eye diagrams and extract parameters such as: OMA: Optical Modulation Amplitude, ER: Extinction Ratio, Optical and Electrical Rise/Fall Times, Overshoot/Undershoot
- Clock recovery and external triggering techniques
Your Profile
- Graduate engineer in physics, electrical engineering or related field
- Required: Specialization in the field of high-speed fiber optic and hybrid electrical/optical high frequency testing
- Required: Jitter measurement capability and true understanding of contribution sources such as random, deterministic and others.
- Experience in the operation and automation of laser sources, power meters, polarization controllers, optical switches, and variable optical attenuators
- Wafer level testing experience
- ATE user experience (Teradyne, NI and/or Advantest)
- Experience with component characterization (laser and photodiodes)
- Ability to interpret customer requirements and interface with a team of engineers to develop novel architectures for production test topologies
- Strong communication skills (internal/external)
- Ability for international business travel (max. 20% of the working time)
