Your prospective job:

You will be working for one of the leading high-tech space companies in Europe. As a Software Engineer C++ Qt you are responsible for Space projects in Bremen.

Your responsibilities:

• Create, develop, and execute simulation models for satellite systems and the space environment
• Continuously enhance the simulation framework, user interface, and testing/debugging tools
• Engage in all phases of the software life cycle, including requirements gathering, architecture design, coding, testing, integration, and documentation
• Collaborate with clients and internal software teams on design aspects, conduct reviews, and ensure the timely delivery of simulators
• Assist customer teams during mission preparation and throughout the maintenance phase of the simulators

Your profile:

• Qualified engineer with a master or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equal qualification
• Skillful in modern C++ and experience with Python is a plus
• Frequently working in a Linux environment
• First experience as Software Engineer C++ Qt or Simulator Software Engineer preferable
• Familarity in federated simulation and co-simulation techniques is a plus
• Knowledge of Qt, Git, DOORS and JIRA as well as embedded software would be favored
• Understanding of ECSS-SMP tools/environments and software standards (e.g. ECSS-E-ST-40C- or DO-178B) is a benefit
• Previous experience in the space sector with a focus on the ground station software would be prefered
• Fluent in spoken and written English
