Your prospective job:

You will act as a FPGA Designer (f/m/d) Space for our prestigious client in the field of aerospace industry in the area of Munich.

As a member of the electronics department team, you will be tasked with designing and testing FPGA firmware. The electronic units you'll work on control high-precision motors, actively dampen vibrations, process high-resolution image data, interpret sensor signals, among other functions.

Your responsibilities:

  • Analyzing and defining requirements
  • Architectural design and decomposition of requirements into functional blocks
  • FPGA design, implementation, and constraint setting
  • Design documentation compliant with internal and external regulatory standards
  • Development and execution of test benches for RTL and timing simulations
  • Formal verification of FPGA designs, including timing analysis, code coverage, and coding rule checks
  • Assistance with FPGA integration onto the target hardware
  • Definition of verification concepts and strategies
  • Execution of FPGA verification and testing on the target hardware
  • Programming of test hardware for the automated execution of hardware test cases

Your profile:

  • A university degree in electrical engineering or a related field (from a Technical University or University of Applied Sciences).
  • Several years of professional experience in VHDL design for synthesis and behavioral modeling, preferably in the space industry.
  • Proficiency in using state-of-the-art design and simulation tools (e.g., Libero, Modelsim).
  • Experience in FPGA design and verification in accordance with ECSS-E-ST-20-40 and ECSS-Q-ST-60-02 standards.
  • Experience in mitigating single event effects caused by radiation.
  • Experience in implementing and verifying FPGA-based signal processing and control algorithms.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++ or Python.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
