Medical Innovation Manager (m/f/x)

Our client is a global pharmaceutical company that develops and markets products in the fields of cardiology and oncology, focusing on innovation and patient centricity.

This role is responsible for actively supporting the Medical Innovation and Digital Strategy agenda for the indication areas within the Specialty Business Division. She/ he will report to the Head of Medical Innovation & Digital Strategy and collaboratively work with various functions and stakeholders.

Tasks

Help to identify, pilot and scale MIDS initiatives, covering the strategic pillars:

• Improvement of internal processes (scientific communication/clinical operations, medical engagement &excellence), indirect cost savings (AI) and product optimization, Medical Data Generation & Insight
• Enhance patient outcomes by supporting scientific proof of concept projects through real-world evidence (RWE) and innovative clinical trials
• Identify and scout new digital therapies and/or treatments
• Support various AI pilots with internal and external partners and Integrated Evidence Generation by project management and operational support
• Support medical advisory boards (2 per year)
• Engage with international colleagues on promising projects
• Foster innovation community

Requirements

• Degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or a related field
• Several years of experience in the (bio)pharma industry
• Strong project management skills to drive innovation initiatives within time, budget, and quality constraints
• Effective stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration on digital projects
• Ability to identify, implement, and quantify digital innovations in medical affairs
• Knowledge of industry best practices in processes, tools, and technology
• Analytical mindset with risk management and compliance awareness
• Creative, results-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-moving environment
• Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages (e.g. German) are a plus

This position is a temporary position, duration 18 months.
