Research Assistants/PhD (m/f/d) in the area of non-contact atomic force microscopy (NC-AFM)

The Department of Mathematics/Computer Science/Physics of Osnabrück University invites applications for the positions of two

Research Assistants/PhD (m/f/d)
in the area of non-contact atomic force microscopy (NC-AFM)
(salary group E 13 TV-L, 50 %)

for the duration of 3 years to start November 1, 2024.

Your Duties:

• Participation in experimental or simulation research in one of the specified areas:
  • (1)    metallic and molecular nanostructures on dielectric surfaces
  • (2)    diamond and surface defects of diamond

• Contribution to teaching at the institute
• Participation in Research while working towards a PhD

Requirements:

• master degree in physics
• proficiency in the German language or the determination to become fluent in German within a short time

Additional Qualifications:

• experience in scanning probe measurements
