The Department of Neurobiology at the School of Biology/Chemistry is seeking to appoint a

Scientific Assistant (m/f/d)
(salary grade E 13 TV-L, 65 %)

to commence on January 1, 2025. The position is limited for three years.

Your Duties:

  • Participate on a DFG project to elucidate disease-relevant mechanisms of Alzheimer's disease using induced pluripotent stem cells, microscopic imaging and algorithm-based image analysis (Mol. Psychiatry 2022, 27:3010-3023; Nat. Commun. 2024, 15:1679)
  • The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work towards a PhD

Requirement:

  • Completed degree (M.Sc. or comparable) in biology or a related field

Additional Qualifications:

  • High motivation
  • Background or experience in molecular biology techniques, neuronal cell culture and computer-assisted data analysis
  • Good English skills and willingness to work in an international team
