Fine-Tuning of Large Language Models for Domain-Specific Knowledge

What's it all about?

This project aims to explore how to fine-tune a Large Language Model (LLM) using proprietary information and domain knowledge. The scope includes evaluating advanced techniques such as Retrieval-Augmented Fine-Tuning (RAFT).

6 to 10 months

October or November 2025

Location:
OMICRON, Klaus (Austria) – Temporary relocation required for the duration of the internship

  • Recent graduate or final-year university student
  • Eligible to conduct a Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis as part of the internship
  • Basic knowledge of generative artificial intelligence
  • Field of study: Computer Science / Artificial Intelligence
  • Strong interest in applied research, generative artificial intelligence, and other innovative technologies
  • Proactive mindset and a collaborative working style
