YOUR PROFILE
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements):
- High School Diploma or GED with 1-3 years of technical support, customer service or sales experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Must possess interpersonal skills, organizational skills, be a self-starter, detailed oriented, and have the ability to communicate professionally (verbal and written).
- Ability to effectively multitask and prioritize in a high paced, customer-oriented sales environment.
- Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously to meet critical deadlines.
- Superior communication skills and ability to work as part of a team as well as function independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with both an ERP and CRM system.
- Associates degree.
- Technical experience from an industrial experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical inclination.
Qualifications
YOUR TASKS
The Inside Sales and Technical Support Representative will work daily with direct customers and dealers to sell and support the Schmalz line of automation products. This position will also support and collaborate with multiple, assigned Outside Sales personnel to help develop new customers and monitor and close current opportunities.
Position Overview:
- Learn and maintain working knowledge about Schmalz automation products, their application, and our competition.
- Learn about organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures.
- Provide a single point of contact and be willing to network and make first contact with potential customers.
- Quote creation and delivery.
- Provide 1st level technical support for automation products, including competitive cross referencing.
- Manage and address all customer inquiries about product, price, delivery, quality claims, and any other additional requirements.
- Provide answers to customers by identifying problems, researching answers and guiding customers to resolution.
- Capture sales opportunities utilizing Schmalz resources and leveraging our Customer relationships.
- Support and help manage territory and customer relations in conjunction with outside sales.
- Work with Order Management, Engineering, Finance, and other internal personnel to provide timely support to customers.
- Other related job duties as assigned.
