Account Manager Italy– BU Home & Industry Solutions

Responsibilities

• Maintain excellent business relationships with assigned accounts to increase customer satisfaction and secure new business
• Provide functional guidance and support to Global Key Account Managers in line with customer agreements and Marquardt policies
• Lead advanced acquisition activities (RFIs/RFQs), including timelines, design-to-cost targets, and defined deliverables
• Actively scan the market to identify new business opportunities and provide relevant feedback to management
• Contribute to the financial performance of running projects through continuous improvement activities (e.g. VA/VE, changes)
• Support the execution and achievement of the 5-year sales growth plan
• Drive all commercial negotiations with assigned customers
• Contribute to product development strategies aligned with customer and market needs
• Provide regular feedback on market conditions, competitor activities, and progress toward business objectives
• Contribute to Key Account strategies and operational improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in a customer-facing sales or business development role, ideally in electronics or mechatronics
• Proven account development and new business acquisition experience (hunter mindset)
• Solid knowledge of sales and business development methodologies
• Good understanding of Marquardt markets (Industry & Distribution, Home Appliance, HVAC, Powertools)
• High level of autonomy and strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluent in English and Italian
• Strong team spirit and ability to work effectively in an international environment
• Advanced presentation and networking skills
• Technical background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is a plus
